hodad66, that's a darn sharp picture of one of the business ends of a dangerous predator! It hits home all the more since I just read about that Florida landscaper that lost her arm to an alligator the other day.

How close were you to this one? ...and what was the alligator doing on the pier, just sunning itself?

geoffs, it's a cheat shot..... in a zoo. Standing safely on the walkover about 30 feet away. Here's an older shot

great shot, and it does not matter where you take the photos, it the quality of the photo that counts. plenty of people take a camera to the zoo and get basic snap shots. Yours are not in anyway like that.
