In flight



Close-up. He was standing at the same place where I took the Great Egret closeup shot. Tall grass in between. I did clone out some in the background using PS elements. This is a crop.

I like the inflight shot but the second shot has nice detail in it too. You are getting very good at these shots of birds flying, bobbyz! Your next assignment: get close and detailed shots of swallows in flight :-)

Thanks Geoffs. Actually there are lots of swallows where I am shooting these flight shots. But very tough to track their movement and even at close range they are small in the viewfinder.

Really nice touch in the eye on the second one bobby. That little dot of light at 2 o'clock really brings life to the image. Special photo and one of the best I've seen of this bird's upper part.
