With the posts that Eric Can has been doing on his macro work got me off my duff this weekend. Although not a true macro lens I was satisfied with the end product.

Canon 300D,manual,1/640, ISO 400, Aperture 18, Sigma 28/200,(105 Sigma will be ordered this week)

Comments and critisicm welcomed.

The shot looks good!

I like the out of focus foreground, and the dof on the grasshopper is great.

I have the Sigma 105 macro, and love it! I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Pretty nice indeed shake Doing nicely without a macro lens, hehe

And now I'm seeing you're orderinga EX 105 Macro, believe me, you won't regret it

Geezzzz I dont know what Im doing wrong with macro on my 300D, I seem to get better shots with the G3. I really thought that a shot as good as this was not possible without a proper macro lens

I bought same lens... but the macro version...

I dont have it yet (after near 2 month i will have my equipment next weekend!!!)

but i hope it is so good as the pictures show!!!
