This guys looks related to the other picture I posted earlier for ID purposes and they were hanging in the same neighbor hood. Again too close to me so slightly out of focus.

Yep, this is the male Ring-Necked Pheasant... :-) What a face! I like picture #2.

Spectacular color in the second photograph, and the background blur + coloration enhances the overall appearance. I like the last one's strutting pose best but the bird's back on that second photograph has colors that are amazing.

Thanks Geoffs & Normcar. If I see them next time, I will try to get the whole bird in the frame. I think this guy was looking for food in the parking lot (maybe someone feeds them) and came running to me when I pulled in.
