Working on various things...

Background color and composition

Focus on the eye

Bird's eye perspective (feathers slightly overexposed but the overall view pleases me somewhat). Plus the prone position soiled my garments so I just had to get something out of this one.

Had to delete the third one because of artifacts. Here's my replacement. This one even may have a message for some:

Hi Norm;

Nice work. (agian). #1 is my favorite. #2 is intriguing. Is is just my monitor, or are there a lot of ghost artifacts in #3? Otherwise, a great shot.

Regards,

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada

Thanks all, and thanks Tom for verifying that it wasn't just my screen that had the artifacts. I deleted that last one and replaced it with the last one above.

all very nice but the second one does have it for me too. It is not the usual shot of birds.

PS: what is or are artifacts????????????

In this particular case they were little stringy wormy looking anomolies on the uploaded jpg file. I have no idea how they got there but I've been having some problems uploading files lately. Strange artifacts and pixel distortions have been coming up occasionally. I've had to re-upload a number of photos. I just upload again and the problem seems to be solved. It appears to be an internet techie thing that I would have absolutely no ability to explain.
