I like the red (from my neighbours roof) in the background, I think it makes the photo look interesting.

Great background color and overall pose! I like this one so much that I hope you don't mind me perking it slightly to my tastes with contrast and sharpness. Very successful shot I'd say.

Quote:
what did you do to it
1. Increased the contrast slightly.

2. Ran it through USM (unsharp mask) just to ever so slightly push the sharpness up without destroying a smooth background texture

3. One pass through Neat Image (just to smooth the background a touch more)

Actually, it really didn't need much more than a bit of a contrast boost. The other stuff I did was just overkill.

Thanks, I have boosted the contrast and have printed it out and put it in a reddish colored cardboard frame and it looks really nice, Im thinking of entering italong with a few others Ive taken in a yearly localphotography competition mid November. Last year I drew with another photographer in the black and white section for overall winner in that class and had a few placings in the color sections. Last year I'd had my G3 4 weeks before that competition so this year Im hoping to better my placings. We have professional judges down from the city and the competition is open to any photographer, amateur or professional. It is amazing to see some of the work that some of the photographers put on display.

I like the second version. I think if you run USM with 20, 50 and 0, it will remove the haze you had in your original shot to improve the contrast.
