I pushed the shutter button at just the right time. Dumb luck!

Not being a knowledgable bird watcher I really can't say. Here's picture just before he flew off. Perhaps someone can tell us what he is.

Ah, yes. I was going to guess a tufted titmouse but I wasn't sure from the first picture. Its clear in the second, though.

Here are some more pictures (very good ones at that.)

Yep - Those are real professional photos of the Tufted Titmouse. Mine are just amateur snap shots. If it wasn't for that bird feeder hanging at my kitchen window I'd never be able to get close enough to get excellent shots like those you posted a link to, nor do I have the equipment or ability to do so.My shots were taken hand held with my Z1 at 380mm (35 mm equiv. F/L) on a grey day requiring use of thein-built flash to allow a relatively sharp picture.

Thanks for letting me know what the bird is. I was thinking "Titmouse" but not being sure I was hoping for a knowlegable answer.

I know the person who's web site that is and he is a professional (it's his only job) and he is very good. Revoltingly good, in my opinion. On occasion, I get something similar to his quality. But he has a great collection of really good shots of all kinda of birds.

I really like the action and animated expression evident on that first capture of yours, Puck. Very nice job.
