May 2004 and the caribou are down off the mountains. Behind is the small community of St. Pauls, Newfoundland. This small group were foraging about 50 metres from the highway. The photo was taken from my vehicle.

Great photograph, showing the wide expanse of the area. This foreground herd is quite effective with the expansive background.Have youconsidered cloning out the townsite since it wouldn't be too much of a task? To me it distracts somewhat from the wilderness mood. However, it could be used as a promo shot for the townsite.

Thanks for the comments, my first on this forum by the way! I do have a cropped version of the image (and other caribou photos) however I was more attracted to this version because of the community in the background. Caribou in proximity to communities is a rare event. I'll probably post some wilderness shots later.
