Testing out the new EOS 300D at a local reserve. The Koalas are not wild but kept in a large enclosue.

nice and close, did you shoot this with the kit lens?? I got my rebel just after I visited queenslands dream world so had to use the G3, wish I'd had it then as I got some of the koala with the G3 but nowhere near as close as this.

It is a little over exposedbut looks a pretty good shot.

I used the 55-200mm lens at full zoom. Unfortunately the sun was shining on his (or her ?) back and top of the head, so it was difficult to get any detail in its face if I didnt overexpose the top of his head.

P.S. This has been cropped and resized a fair bit

The zooms are great, I got the 90-300 thrown in with the camera on a deal and Im glad I did, I use the 300 lens more than the kit lens.
