I hadn't realize how hooded their eyes are. You can only see half the pupil and we're talkingthey'reseriously yellow.

Look at the hair standing up on his back...he is really ticked off!

My first year of hunting, I was in the woods alone in the early morning hours, and I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around, expecting a deer, and looked right into the yellow eyes of a coyote with a small turkey in his mouth. Once you see those eyes, you never forget!!!

Where were you??? Where were his friends? They are usually more nocturnal!

Nice picture. Hope to see some more from you with the winter coat. That is agood catch to get so close to one of these wary critters.

They really look amazing with their whitish winter coat standing in the sun.

In a previous life I must have been a coyote because they tend not to rum from me, in fact the majority of the time they get closer. Which can be very scarey, especially if there's more than one.
