Took these today up in our local watershed. It's a rainforest in there. Anyway, got a couple of ducks to pose for me. The female seems to be curious as to what I was doing, but the male was nose diving for food. Comments welcome. Cheers........thekman

Great shot of the female.

I love the expression.

What kind of camera and lens?

Nice and crisp.

Well done.

Thanks smac. Camera is a panasonic fz20. Just got it a month ago, and am learning what the best settings are to use. Starting to figure out what works best for me. By the way, cool eyes. Lol.............thekman.

I am always so glad to hear that the cameras are FZ20's.
That's what my new camera is and I am constantly blown away with the quality of the pictures I see people taking. And to think I was considering a Nikon D70 for Triple the price. Don't get me wrong, the Nikon is an awesome camera but probably way more then I really need. Especially when I see pictures like yours.

Those Mallards must have been fairly close. The detail is incredible.

Way to go,

smac

Thanks again smac. I was real close to the ducks. I faked (mean me) tossing them some food, and they swam right over. Funny, the d70 was almost on the sales slip for me, but I balked at the last minute and decided for the fz. I'd love to have the Nikon, but at this point, I figured I'm still learning, and the fz seems like a great camera to experiment with, not to mention it does take great shots. Maybe down the road, I could jump to a dslr, but for now this is servicing me fine. When I hear of other dslr owners having to haul around all their gear, I don't feel so bad. Nice to have the fz around the neck, and a portable tripod on the shoulder. Not too cumbersome at all. cheers.......thekman. And oh, you really should have your eyes checked. Lol.
