I had another beautiful day at the local wildlife refuge. Just as I stopped to take some pics of ducks about 50-60yards away. This little guy popped out of his hole about 3 yards away and just stood there. Hmmm, ducks 50 yards...squirrel 3 yards. Squirrel wins. :-)

Hey willow,

I was just admiring some of your close up work. That upside down bee is crazy. I love that shot.

Yeah, the squirrel was very close. Usually the guys are ...well squirrely and hard to shoot. This one just sat there. I had to make little clicking noises just so he would move and give a little different look. Funny animals.

Actually, as with most nature shots it was just dumb luck and good timing. He came out of his burrow just as I stopped the car and shut the engine off.
