keep up the good work! your patience is waaay beyond mine

are you finding it hard to get close enough to these birds with the 300mm? how close would you say you were on the first one? (lol, a guess is fine...even if it's broad range...)

first shot, I was about 15 feet or so away so did not have to crip much. The Kookaburra was about 40 feet or more.
