i wish you had his foot in there, is this by any chance a crop?

I agree with Vito, if the missing foot and tail were there, they would make a good photo into an excellent image.

You were able to capture great definition and color in this shot, Suzan - I really like it. You're so lucky to be near the coast and have access to all these birds!

I agree with Vito that it would really be nice to see more of the GBH's feet. Any chance of that?

Nope. No foot, no tail, this is the whole banana.

This is with my fz20

f 5.6

Sh. 1/125

Spotmeter

Full Telephoto with teleconverter and full digital zoom. I didn't have my tripod attachment with me so was using a fence post (something about any port in a storm comes to mind here). I was just so pleased with the detail here so................

You're getting some fine color and detail with the FZ20. The eye in this one is particularly appealing to me. It would be great to see the whole bird in this one but the part I see is really well produced.
