While down at the golf course ponds getting pictures of the waterfowl, I caught the squirrel below getting a drink of water. You might remember that '90s song, "I'm Too Sexy"... well, for some reason that song started to play in my head at the sight and I couldn't get it out of my head. With slight modification to the title words, it seemed somewhat fitting...

This guy was about 50 yards off, so it's not the sharpest, but I think it's cute.

Exposure parameters... eh, who cares...

Ah, but you've got other wildlife that we could hardly imagine, like all of those marsupials. We've only got one marsupial - the opposum!

lol, i got a shot of a terrified oppossom in my yard, it wouldn't move, so i took advantage of it (sortof :-\ ) and got some shots...unfortunately...the shots weren't any good...lol

squirrels are fun to shoot, ours out here are very animated, spending hours chasing each other around my yard, and hanging on my front steps eating acorns

it is a cute shot

Vito, the squirrels I grew up with in New York (fairly local to you) were much bigger than the ones I see in Oregon, and there seemed to be a lot more of them too. They are indeed fun to watch!

Cute shot! The ducks look like they're thinking, "Maybe if we ignore him,
he'll go away."

This is a really good one..with the ducks and all too. Maybe can try some sharpening using a photo editor, since the squirrel looks a tiny bit out of focus.

Hi Kenny - thanks. Unfortunately, this has already been sharpened in PSCS. Sharpening any more is not going to cut it. There's no substitute for getting an original image that is already sharp!

Seeing this reminded me of a shot that I missed last year.

I was watching a green heron fishing off a cement guide to a dike. While I was standing there (I might have even been watching through the camera) it leaned over, stuck out its tongue (!) and took a drink. I was just too stunned to take the picture. But I wish I had.

Heh, heh - I don't think I've ever seen a heron stick its tongue out! Parrots, yes. Heron's, no. But, there's no reason why all birds wouldn't do it. Wish you'd have gotten that photo.

Haven't we seen some pictures posted here of hummingbirds with their tongues sticking out? Probably posted by hummer some time ago...
