I was shooting raw, Vito. Problem is that when you are shooting active subjects, you don't get the chance to make two exposures and later combine - they won't registrate correctly. I just have to get my technique better!

what i mean...is process the same RAW file differently...

use the exposure compensation in the conversion software, to expose for the highlights and shadows...

this works best with Camera RAW...but i'm not sure that it works with the 20D yet...

BreezeBrowser will do combined raw processing just as you speak of. My pictures were not good enough to even be salvaged by that process.
