I got this little green eye eating out one of my figs today. I was trying to get some shots to test different f stops etc and did not even see him peering out at me at first. Not a great shot but cute.

Cute. I have a fig tree in my backyard also but there is no leaves on it this time of the year here in Georgia. But when the figs are on it I have to gather them just as soon as they get ripe. But the birds don't mind at all if I leave them on the tree.

Yes, I do see a bird. Is that that honeyeater again, Julie?

They are tough buggers to photograph when they hide among the branches and leaves like that! This one looks to be really wary of you.

no its a greeneye, about 3/4 of the size of a finch, very tiny and faster than the honey eaters
