Shot hand held on a rainy day. I think I used 1.4x tc on this shot. Playing with flash (without better beamer).

Pretty nice given the bad lighting and background. Hate those. You did well, coz the bird doesn't seem too much underexposed. Cheers !

I think you did pretty good considering the lighting and drab sky, bobby. This seems like a male to me though. Way too much head color (and back too) for a female. I worked with these guys in a management program last summer and got very familiar with them.

Man that shot looks familiar. Hate those bright grey skies which I also seem to see in most of my shots lately. Come on sunshine!!

Backlighting is tough. You did a good job with this one.

Good shot under tough conditions. These are such pretty birds. We still have
some of the Eastern variety hanging out here. Tell me about zoomn!! I have
had about 1/2 hour of sunshine in the last 10 days!!!

Yeah, we've had the same weather issue here, too. I've yet to get a shot of a bluebird. That's my favorite bird. Nice job.
