Hi everyone. I just found this site and have been enjoying all the great bird pics. They're not easy to photograph--they move so quickly!

I took this one a couple weeks ago--I think it's an egret but I could be wrong. (not really a bird person)

I really like the close up. You're not kidding they move fast. Takes a lot of patience to get a good shot. Sometimes they are predictable if you watch them enough, though.

Very nice shots. It's anEgret...yellow feet indentify it as aSnowy Egret.

Beautiful closeup KarenN in #2. A little bit over-exposed on the bottom. Where did you take this shot and with what equipment. And welcome to the forum.

Here's a Great Egret which is larger the the Snowy and has black feet. Quality of photo not that great...still learning.

Very nice looking bird and photos. I especially like the first one as the perch is untraditional and interesting to me personally. I love sitting on the top of houses too

The pics were taken with my Olympus C740. It's my first digital camera (previously used Nikon, Pentax and Ricoh SLRs). I love it! Digital has opened up a new world of photography for me.
