Hi Mullen, the cardinal really looks nice in the midst of the berries. They compliment each other. I'd love to get my lens on one of those beautiful birds some day.

PS - have you tried manual white balance with your camera. It just seems to me that the color on this is a touch off. I've found that the time spent in custom white balance is usually well worth the time.

Thanks for the tip, Normcar. I had the WB on Auto, I believe. I haven't used manual at all outdoors yet. I'll give it a try.

Those are words I like to hear. This means you have lots of opportunities to try different things with your shots. Your WB doesn't seem that bad, but if you have the chance try some different settings. By the way, nice work.

Love to get a clear shot of one of these guys. Most of the time they stay
buried in the berry bushes for me, except when they fly to another one.
