Thanks for the nice comments. There is a much nicer eagle in a folder entitled "Washington Eagle".

My Coolpix takes quite good pictures, in my opinion, for a compact camera that has a "big" lens with it at all times. And all my shots have been cropped about 50% from the original...on top of the 10X zoom. But, as my first pic shows, it's hard to get a REALLY sharp picture at full zoom. I do qualify that by adding that a 350mm equiv lens, handheld at about 1/125 sec, is usualy a guarantee of a blurred photo. The Vibration Reduction works quite well and I still think this is a good choice for people like me, who walk a lot, and don't want to carry a big camera and lenses. I'd like to have a D70, but I know it just wouldn't be with me when I wanted it.
