I was out cruising the mountains yesterday with a friend and came across
these guys. The first was a porcupine that we spotted in a tree. Unfortunately
it was surrounded by a bunch of other smal trees and this was the clearest
shot I could get. The other is a picture of a chippy. It looks like these guys
are starting to wake up. Is this another sign that spring is just around the
corner?

All shots Drebel w/ 100-400L IS USM @ 400, ISO 200, Av mode

1/250 sec, f/8

1/400 sec, f/8

There was also this chickadee. The branch pretty much detracts from the
picture, but I posted it because it looks like he has a disproportionally large
head.

Great shots, that chickadee one is wonderful. Blasted branches! Glad you posted it as the definition is beyond good and up into the area of professional. Blasted branches!

Thank you so much for your comment Norm. The tips I have gotten from
you and others on this sight has made a big difference in the results I am
getting. Once again, thank you.
