I certainly agree with you about the snow. We just got (another) 5 inches last night and expect 1-3 tonight. At least most of the 30" we got in one weekend had melted. Some day I'll see my back yard again. Really... I'm sure its there somewhere!

I too liked the name. That is what drew me to the series at first. I skim down the titles for something (some times it's new stuff like the African Fish-Eagle, other times... who knows what catches my eye?) and the name make me wonder what was gazing at what.

The subtle light on the squirl is great. Did you add that (flash?) or was it natural?

Thanks eric, it's all natural ambient light. I haven't been using my flash of late because it, combined with the sound of the Mark II shutter (too loud for nature photography IMO), is a bit overwhelming for some birds. I find that they hang around more, and I get more photo ops, if I keep the hotshoe cold.
