Another shot I like of reflections of the Short Billed Dowitcher. makes you wonder what the long billed Dowitcher is like. Actually of course, the two birds are hard to tell apart. My bird book asks me to listen to their call for a positive i.d. And if they don't call, you go out with a ruller and ask them to hold still, while you measure the beak...
