Thanks all, I appreciate the comments and your letting me know which ones you prefer. Kex, the lens was a Canon Prime 200mm F/1.8, a big heavy 6.6 poundbeautiful whale of a lens that Canon no longer makes. It had a 1.4x extender attached (Mark I, the older style without the weather proofing).

loving the colors in the redpolls
i actually like the wider ones best...althought the crops show the detail very well!

excellent work as usual norm

Thanks Vito, appreciate the comments and indication about which one you prefer. I tend to prefer the longer shots myself on these ones. If nothing else, that snowy background makes for a creamy blur that is often quite attractive.
