This is about 25% of the Cascade Head herd taking it easy in a pastureacross the road from the Salmon River Estuary. I guess the lesson here is that your 300mm lens won't help you if you leave it in the car.... taken with the 18mm to 70mm at 70mm.

But even though you didn't have your zoom, you captured the group atmosphere, which you wouldn't have done with the zoom, and you wouldn't have captured that overhanging branch with the zoom, either. I know you were probably hoping for an up close shot, but there are advantages to using both lenses!!
