I thought I was shooting one of the numerous Warblar clan that winters in Brooklyn, but then again I can't find him in my book. I thought maybe Carolina Wren, but no...

I am no expert and size a minor color details are limited in the photos, but I would guess a Hermit Thrush

Yes, I left out the size.


Nor did I even consider a Thrush. It's about 6, 7 inches long. Big for a Warbler or Sparrow. I was so set on a warbler, wren or Sparrow...

Now that I'm looking at Thrushes, it looks more like a Veery...

I'm going back tomorrow and will keep my eyes open. Much, much thanks for the leed!
