Here's a couple of nuthatch shaots from last weekend.

20D, f/8, Av, ISO 400, 100-400L @ 380

No, this isn't upside down.
1/1600 sec, 50% vertical crop of original, some sharpenning, some NR


I just thought this one was cute. Was also suprised to get this much detail
on such a tight crop.
1/640 sec, 40% crop of original, some sharpenning, some NR

Great photos woodmeister, I think the first one rocks and rolls with that great blue saturated background and the vertical subject. How those things don't faint from blood rushing to their heads is a mystery.

Nice DOF on number 2

Thanks Norm. I was really happy with the first one as well. Other than the
"classic" pose, this is usually how you see these guys. I was lucky to catch
him with the sky for the background instead of the tree. Sometimes I think
these guys are woodpeckers that were "wired" wrong.
