A few studies in light and contentment. These were done with the Canon 70-200 non-IS on Mark II.

Interesting effect on the seedbalancer. Maybe it's just my eyes or an illusion
created by the lighting, but it seems like everytime I glance at the photo,
the tree trunk appears to jump from foreground to background.
That contentment shot is really cute. Looks like if he jumped off the perch
he would drop like a rock since he's so pudgy looking.

Have I said you do lovely things with light an unusual poses late? Well, you do. Nicely done.

The first one doesn't do much for me, but I like the second one. I'm a little surprised that it works so well, considering the brightness of that branch/trunk without the bark there... and its so dominate in the middle/upper portion of the picture. Yet the shot works. I'm going to have to look at it more and think about why. I wish the head were a bit turned to the right, but that is being a bit picky.

Contentment!!!!!!!That is just the way I would feel if I could get a shot like that. I would even be somewhat contented with the others. They're great.
