These were all shot on Monday. What facinates me about these birds is their eyes. Well actually quite a bit facinates me about them. They are NOT related to ducks except in the sense that they are birds. :-)

They, along with Loons, are about 60 million years old...

All other bird families are only twenty million years old, vitually yesterday, so to speak.

Real cute bird, super exposure and the reflection is great; I love these birds and I can't wait until my resident grebe comes back to nest. I like the top photo the most probably because of the approaching angle. Cheers

Your lucky. I never see them in summer plumage, they leave Brooklyn and leave their winter feathers behind...
