Saw this gal with some White-throated Sparrows foraging along the side of the
road.

20D, 100-400L @ 400, ISO 400, Av mode

f/6.3, 1/800 sec, 50% crop


f/6.3, 1/200 sec, 65% crop


This is one of the white-thoats

Very nice shots. Very sharp, great detail, and the colors seem right on.

Great winter feel in those first two, woodmeister (and you know that I know what winter feels like), and the second one, the white thoat -ed sparrow :Gis exceptionally sharp without becoming too sharp. Nice job.

Thanks for the comments. There were snow squalls moving through all day.
As for the winter feel, It did feel like winter with a temp of 20F. It should be
in the 40's by now, and there's more snow predicted for later in the week.

Good shots Woodmeister. I really like the second one with the snow falling. BTW it was in the upper 80's here today. :-)

I love that second shot. Bummer there were so many branches but still really a nice photo!! The exposure and color are perfect.
