I had taken a half dozen shots before I realized that he wasn't just standing on one leg. It didn't seem to hinder him at all.

Great shot smac, and the eye is definitely the heart of this bird when it comes to the visuals. However, one leg comes in a close second. Seems to me that I had a one-legged Killdeer up here last summer...could this be the same bird?Soon I'll be hearing the kil-dee sound again, and I'm anxious to hear it. Cheers.

Thats a very good shot Smac. And that is one pretty bird. The eye is beautiful but so is the feathers on its back and you have captured it perfectly. Its sad about its other leg.

Thanks, Yeah, I thought it was kind of sad too. But to see that bird hop around... it didn't seem to bother him. You know the old adage, "Life's tough, then you die." Nobody said life was easy.
