Went to one of my favorite areas yesterday and was watching and taking
pics of a group of robins feeding in this spot. All of a sudden, one of the
guys got irritated by another and this was what I was able to catch.

20d, 100-400L @ 400, ISO 800, f/5.6, 1/800 sec

Cool action shots woodmeister. I've never seen robins go at it like that before and I don't think too many have. This has got to be sort of a rare occurrence, right? Or have I just encountered good natured robins?

Thanks for checking out the photos and the comments. Norm, as far as this
behavior, It was the first that I have seen something so aggressive. Most times
I just see them chase each other around. It could be the early stages of
mating behavior and the dispersal of the "flocks". I know in my region, I only
see flocks of Robins late fall through very early spring. From nesting through
early fall, they are usually spotted singularly. This might explain the overly
aggressive behavior.
