I was going to ask how the flight shots went as well. Sounds like not as well as you'd have liked. Sorry to hear that. Personally, I don't mind the straps hanging off the feet/tallons. Post it any ways!

Merlin's are fun birds to see. I've seen them a few times (ok... 6. I can recall every one.) I've got a few pictures of one in this gallery:

And some shots of one finishing up it's meal. Probably a dove, but so little was left it was hard to tell.

Great shots.Excellent clarity and color. The second is my favorite, too.

Ah, this is what the a Peregrine Falcon looks like. Last Saturday, I was taking a birding tour. At first, there were no shore birds and other birds were in site because there were about three of these falcons in the area. The falcons were too high or far away for me to get a good look or photos of them.

Thanks for sharing. BTW, the shore birds started coming in an hour before we left. So, I did get lots of pictures.

Great shots dad! Can't wait to see the rest of them.. Looks like you are really enjoying the new lens. :bye: I've been scoping out some potential places for bird shots when you come down next month. I think I found a wild falcon nest around here. Not sure if that's actually what it is or not since I can't get very close but when I see if flying overhead it looks a lot like the one you have shots of here.
