Good gosh Bobbyz. These are the best I've ever seen of a white bird in the sky. I don't know what you did but everything was just right. Beautiful...........

Would you mind sharing your settings, bobby. These are Reealy great shots, I like the gracefull poise in No.1, much like a high diver doing a "swallow" dive. Nice!!

Well all of these were using aperture priority mode on my 10D. For most F7.1, maybe f8. ISO200 as sun came out finally. Partial metering mode, EV -1/3. Center focus only and AI servo mode. IS was off. All hand held.

I wish 10D has 5fps then one get better wing positions.

I must have taken 100-150 shots, a lot of them were blurred coz of my mistakes as well as AI servo not working all the time or birds being too close.

Thanks bobby, appreciate the info. I normally set mine on Aperture priority, but at 5.6 to get max shutter speed, but then my DOF is normally too shallow, the DOF you achieved here is just perfect, great stuff !!
