First light for my new 120-300 F2.8 lens and 2x TC.
Took this image of a yellow flappy thingy at 28-feet (yes I actually tape-measured from the window to the branch) out my window.

Camera tripod mounted, ISO 800, F2.8 (F5.6 with the TC), 1/800 shutter. Levels and slight unsharp in PS CS.

I think I'll keep it

Congrats on the new lens and the great shot, Peter. I hear that lens is a keeper too and it looks that way with your shot.

Congrats on the new lens.

When you get a chance, can you post some 100% crops with & without the 2x TC.

Yup, when the weather changes and I get to go out with it,our forecast is rain, rain and more rain.

I thought the new scope syndrome only happened when you got a new telescope :-)

Peter.
