Wow Graham, some shot. You got a great DOF on a very difficult and little motive. And great colors - limited and natural. Am I right you got it through a glass or window ?

Thank you Klaus. You're correct about the glass, I had my camera lens pressed up against it, with the Locust a couple of inches away on the other side. Can you see a reflection or distortion ?

Not really (maybe in the lower left corner, there is 3 dots..).but I think the pic has a certain "fog" in it. Maybe a carefull LEVEL adjustment in the midtones would remove some of it, and then a touch of unskarpen mask. what do you think ?

Klaus, thanks for the suggestion, but in this published version I've already -

Increased the brightness from input 1.0 to output 1.05.
Increased the contrast from input 0 to output 5.
Applied a 50 percent unsharp mask.

Is this what you had in mind ?
