Tomsch, many thanks for the comments and for the info on the Clematis climber... my wife forgot the name, and since it was such a pretty flower, I just had to know its name... take care and thanks again... GeneF

Gene, you got very nice variety of birds coming to your back yard. I would suggest you put some natural perches near your feeders (if possible) and try it when the bird just lands there before going to the feeder.

Which camera/lens BTW. And did you use blind?

Bobbyz - Many thanks for your comments.... yes, I use a blind for most of my shots and birdwatching... it's one of those pop-up hunting blinds, I got it from a hunting supply store for about $45, and, after the birds get used to it, they don't know that I'm there... the camera is a Canon 10D and I use a Sigma 50-500 zoom mostly but also use the Canon 70-200 IS for some shots as well... your point of having natural perches for the birds is well taken... I have some, but, really need more... but I can sit for hours watching the birds and it's probably my favorite pastime.... many thanks again for your comments.... GeneF
