Bobby, thats a good question and I'm glad you asked. I have never as yet got a real sharp flight shot. My focus is always off. This is what I do. I use center point and hold the * down with my thumb which makes the * show in the viewfinder. Is that AI servo mode? My manual is not clear on that subject, at least to me its not.

It seems to me that you are using the Rebel, Houston, right? If so, you don't have Al Servo except with sports mode, if memory isn't failing me. I didn't have much luck with sports mode on my rebel but I never really gave it much of a chance either. When shooting action with the rebel I usually rode the shutter, pressing halfway constantly until I was ready to hit it full.

Houston, very nice work!!! really like the reflection!!! got some good wing detail on some of the flight shots.
