I was blessed with being able to capture some deer before I went to work. I was at the swamp where I usually frequent and decided to take a side trip about a mile away. So here's a very young buck. I'll post a pic of young buck's mommy later. Shot with 20D 100-400mm @400mm iso 400 f/6.3 1/200 EC +2/3

thanx all!!! i do really like this one myself. have you ever noticed their big eyelashes??!!! they are so neat looking.

Lovely shot, dennis, you caught a great expression on that pretty animal's face. I also like the from-the-rear about face pose (classic with deer because it works).

Stunning shot. I love the colour and texture of the vegetation, it forms a perfect backdrop to the beautifully sharp image of the deer.

Norm & Peripatetic, thanx!!! i was lucky he stayed still long enough for this shot. hah!!! you should see some of yesterday's deer shots. real wastebasket material. but, i kept some of them because i have so few deer shots.
