I have a book written in the thirties. They don't come up the East Coast, past the Carolina's.

My Book from the sixties states that they are strictly East Coast, occasional on the West Coast.

But my current National Geographic, shows that they are regular in the Bay area! And when my buddy visited here and I took him to the beach, he told me how he see's them at home.

I believe that with Global Warming the northern range of birds is expanding. "Tis an ill wind indeed that blows no one any good."

In fact, I don't believe it, I go to the beach and photograph it - And so have you!

Really nice in flights bobby. Cool looking bird as well. As for in flight shots,
I need to overcome some hand/eye coordination issues before I could tell
if the 100-400L is an issue.
