These are some great shots of a very difficult bird to approach. I have no idea how you are getting so close to this bird, but it's paying off with lovely shots. Nice job.

bmullen, how do you do that!!! bluejays are one of my favorite birds and i can't get close enough to them for any kind of decent photos!!! the first pic is totally awesome to me!!! great work on a difficult bird!!!

Thanks guys. Ok, I'll tell you my secret. There is a feeder filled with peanuts not far from the bird blind I sit in and Blue Jays and Red Bellied Woodpeckers love them. I wasn't getting hardly any close shots of either of these till they put that feeder out.
