Today I pushed my camera as much as I could to get these, ISO 1600 and 1/1250 was about the only setting I could get anywhere with, it was pretty overcast and dull (winter here) and Ive lightened these shots up a fair bit.

This first shot shows the pink and Grey parrots and the ring-necks in a paddock that has recently been plowed. Took these at work.

Then they took off

Hey Julie, you did what you had to do to get them and you got them good. Wonderful work, keep those ISO's high and the shutter as fast as you can, and forget worrying about noise. I can see these great shots through the noise quite well indeed. And I personally don't mind it at all. I love these!

What great birds to have flying free :-)

What noise ?? :blah:
If you don't have it, grab a copy of neat image http://www.neatimage.com/download.html The demo version is free for amatures and is fully functional.

PS Plugin takes a bit of getting used to, but it works well on killing noise from hgh ISO :!:

Peter.

Thanks Norm and peter, I have neatimage and used it on these, I did not want to over do it though as I would prefer the noise to the funny look a shot can get with too much reduction
