I decided to take the long way home through the country after a staff party. Came a cross this very friendly owl.

Owls are one of my favourite birds, so I really love these pictures. Would be happy to see this guy here, but they are rare, so thank you killdeer0007 for opportunity to see this bird.
Expression of the bird in the first one makes it my favourite. :-)

Thanks for the compliments. One thing I'm really like about photography is that it gets me out of the house more. Here in Alberta I have the choice of the prairie, foothills and mountains.All within a very short distance.

I like the last one as I find the tree coming out of his head a bit distracting in other shots.
