Thanks. The pic turned out better then I thought it would. The light was bad in that part of the swamp and I'm not that good at figuring out shutter speeds/F stops and light:angry:
yet Plus that was handheld.

Yeah, you're improving with each post...

Where is this swamp? I go to many swamps and always find them cheerful places - this one looks like the summer home of Godzilla - I mean if you made a post with some monster popping out, I wouldn't be surprised.

That swamp is just north of Rossville, Tn. http://www.state.tn.us/environment/nh/natareas/wbclark/ and yes there are all kinds of monsters in it. ~BC~

This is a unique shot and I agree with the others that it's framing and the surrounding environment add a worthwhile dimension.

Nice Heron shot. Good composition. It gives a sense of peeking into the life of the heron.
