I think you guys wanted to see the Musk duck in it's almost deformed action. These are not the greatest shots, this is a hard duck to get a photo of in breeding season, he is elusive. I took these last year, hubby and I were trying to work out what the strange noise was and we saw him through the trees.

as you look at your monitor the head is on the right of the screen

Here he has turned the other way, he squirts water out in sprays under the wings and makes a loud hooping noise, I think he thinks he looks really sexy to the girls like this. I cant get over how big he puffs up under the throat area.

Wow, now that's something that needs to be seen on video. However, the photo is a good intro, thanks for that, Julie.

I agree! I'm really glad you kept these images.

You are aware of course that I do the same thing with beer on Saturday night, and no, the girls apparently DON'T find it attractive.

In fact NONE of the mating dances that I so carefully copy have ever gotten me anywhere...

Why do they work for them and not me?

:lol:well I dont know if it is working for the musk ducks either, Ive yet to see a musk duckling:-)
