I shot this Wren at sunset just as the light was hitting the side of a hillside right beside the pond where I usually shoot Avocet. I had processed this series yesterday so decided to post it instead of more deer since it had already been on the fire and cooked. I like wrens and they make a neat sound too. Sometimes they can be a touch curious, also, which becomes beneficial from time to time:

400/5.6L with 1.4x on Mark II camera body (no mono or tripod)

Great shots of this diminutive little guy. I really like that first image, the symmetry created
by the tree and the nicely blurred background really draws my eye right to the subject and
the late day sun adds the finishing touch!
