Thanks everyone for your really nice compliments. I'm finding myself holding back quite a bit lately on the shutter until the ambient light makes it even worthwhile pressing the shutter button down. When I saw this bird on the post, with the evening light hitting it just right, I knew that if I could muster up a good shutter press that the shot would show some promise. The shots are a touch softer than I would have liked, but I am really pleased with the colors. The softness is my error, the light was right, but I could have been a touch more steady, even resting the lens on the door. But I'll take them for sure, thanks again.
