I shot this bird tonight while driving down country roads checking out fence posts. I liked the background and the overall light on the bird and decided to post tonight rather than tomorrow morning as I'll be busy with other things. Hope you don't mind the less-than-24-hour posting:

Thanks mullen, I think this is a very pretty bird and am always happy when I get a chance to shoot it in good light.

This is a great shot. we almost always see these too far away to get a good shot. Nice job! I've seen a lot of your work Norm, as my hubby keeps showing me all the neat shots he has seen on the forum. I'm new to the forum. . . I figured if I can't beat 'em, I might as well join 'em.:roll: -BQ

As soon as I saw #2 I new I wouldn't see a better one. It's top work. They're all great but I'm with Dave and #2 is strickly Art. The pose, light and beautiful background is perfect.
