This adult egret shows a younger one how its done.
This was shot with a canon EOS 20D, 100-400L + a canon 2x T.E.
the 2x t.e. keeps my auto focus from working, so the pictures are not that good but i'm still posting them:blah:

Facinating shots. The birds, the huge fish, the reflections of the light on water - and yes the adorable turtles...

But the "younger one" is a Snowy Egret... :lol:

Glad you posted these, especially the top one. The water reflection is really cool, very very cool indeed, and well worth posting, even though the bird is somewhat soft because of the 2x extender. This is one time when soft is good, very good. Really nice photograph on top.

Edit - actually, not so much the reflection as the ripples, the contrast is wonderful.
